Here's how we're working to raise money for the Hunt Family Fund in honour of Louise, Hannah and Carol Hunt.
What we've done - and what's to come
The Hunt Family Fund was launched in December 2025 with an incredible fundraiser at Cheltenham Racecourse, organised by John and Amy Hunt, and close friends and colleagues of John Hunt. This amazing event kickstarted the beginning of a lasting fund in the memory of Hannah, Louise and Carol, and laid the foundation for future fundraising efforts.Â

Other fundraising efforts have been completed and are currently underway to keep adding to the fund, and to continue supporting those who most need our help. You can find details below of the fundraising challenges still to come in 2026, and how you can support us.

Previous and current fundraisers for the Hunt Family Fund
Current fundraisers:
120-mile charity walk from Hertfordshire to Bournemouth
In September, John, Amy and Amy's fiance Gareth are setting off to complete a 120-mile charity walk across the south of England, from the family home in Hertfordshire to Bournemouth, a very special place for John and Carol.Â

Travelling across town, countryside and seaside, the walk will take them just over a week, and is sure to be both an emotionally and physically strenuous challenge, during which Mum, Hannah and Louise will be at the forefront of our minds at all times.
​
Throughout the course of the over 120-mile walk, Gareth, John and Amy will be joined by many family members and friends who will walk with us for part of the way, to share their love for Louise, Hannah and Carol too.
​
We hope this walk will raise plenty of money for the Hunt Family Fund, to continue donating to causes doing the work we are most passionate about.
​
With training well underway, any donations would be hugely appreciated to spur John, Gareth and Amy on!

London Marathon 2026 run from dedicated supporter
In April 2026, Robin Reynolds chose to run the London Marathon (My Way), which means he ran the 26.2 mile marathon distance whilst tracked on an app on the 26 April, marathon day itself.

He ran the marathon in and around his hometown of Midhurst in West Sussex to raise money for the Hunt Family Fund. His perseverance, dedication, and immense effort resulted in him raising an absolutely incredible £5,000 for the Hunt Family Fund.

"I was very moved by Carol, Louise and Hannah's story. I was even more moved by John and Amy's strength and togetherness to create a legacy of love and positivity," Robin said.
​
"I knew from the moment I heard about the Hunt Family Fund that I wanted to raise money to support the excellent work they were and will be undertaking," Robin continued. "The marathon was an amazing experience from the training to the finish line. In the end I raised in excess of £4,000, and I feel humbled by what my efforts can now be turned into by the work John and Amy will be doing."

The Hunt family have been so touched by Robin's selfless effort. John and Amy said, "We are immensely touched and grateful for the generosity and effort shown by Robin for our Fund and our girls - we could not be more grateful for his support and everyone who sponsored him on his incredible marathon challenge. Thank you so, so much Robin, and a huge congratulations on the achievement."
Cheltenham Racecourse Hunt Family Fund gala launch 2025
The Hunt Family Fund was officially launched on 9th December 2025 with a remarkable gala dinner evening and auction at Cheltenham Racecourse.

The evening was expertly and generously organised and co-ordinated primarily by excellent friends and colleagues Robert Nothman, Jonathan Overend, Tim Barder and Mark Sharman, as well as so many other incredibly kind colleagues and friends of John's in the horse racing and wider sports world.

It was an incredibly special evening, with special guests including James Acaster, Clare Balding, Mark Chapman, John Inverdale, Geoff Hurst and so many more. The night was comprised of a live auction, alongside some brilliant sporting discussions.
​
John and Amy also gave impassioned speeches honouring Hannah, Louise and Carol and their love of Christmas, and shared the causes that the Hunt Family Fund aims to contribute to.
​
Overall, the gala fundraiser raised over an absolutely incredible £250,000. This money, generously raised by all of our incredible supporters, has helped to provide the initial funding needed to launch our Fund.
